A Eucalyptus And White Wedding On A Rainy Summer’s Day

Meet Sarah and Oliver! This beautiful couple tied the knot on a rainy summer’s day with a Eucalyptus and white wedding.

Wedding location: Lough Rea Hotel and Spa, Co. Galway

Sarah and Oliver met through a mutual friend. They then got engaged in the USA, on the Michigan lakefront by downtown Chicago!

“Our theme was eucalyptus and white, it was a rainy summer’s day. We chose an assortment of white flowers with green shrubbery. We made our own table numbers and church pamphlets. It was a beautiful day.”

To pull their theme together, they had the men in black suits with black ties. The bridesmaids wore olive green and the bride stunned in white!

They tied the knot in a beautiful traditional church ceremony at St Brendans Catholic Cathedral in Loughrea,Co.Galway.

“The venue was Lough Rea Hotel and Spa. We picked it because it was a fabulous hotel with fantastic food and it was in close proximity to the church.”

The wedding was beautifully captured by David McGowan Photography.

Sarah says: “David was fantastic. He really went above and beyond for us.”

Sarah’s favourite memory of the day was a quiet moment away on the rooftop of the venue. How romantic!

To entertain their guests, they had the brilliant Springbreak band and DJ who had everyone up on their feet all night long. Sarah loved that the band incorporated guests into a conga line and games throughout the night!
